Therapy is all about healing. It helps with barriers that affect a person’s emotional, social, and physical needs. Using everyday activities, exercises, and therapies, people can heal physical, sensory, or cognitive problems.

Tiffany Ann has spent most of her career working and helping individuals from all walks of life. As an occupational therapist, her goal is to help individuals improve independence and fulfillment in life.

Her motivation, persistence, and dedication to serving those around her in an impactful way are unwaivering. And, as she continues her healing journey, she continues to extend her reach to heal others in the process. Here are the two things that Tiffany believes are key to any healing process.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness is about bringing one’s attention to experiences and being present in the moment, which ultimately connects the mind and body. It is about connecting the mind and body to overcome pain, anxiety, and regulating emotions. Tiffany reckons that mindfulness practice helps to deal with challenging emotions and also improves impulse control. Activities such as breathing exercises, mindful yoga, and daily routines are tools that one can use to focus their minds, calm down, and reflect on a situation that involves hard decision-making choices or consequences.

Pain and healing

Whether it is dealing with emotional or physical pain, having someone help you through the process can make all the difference in your healing process. While we are naturally incredibly strong and resilient, many incidents can impede our body’s functionality. Tiffany treats her clients from the point of understanding pain and healing. She has gone through painful experiences and delved into her healing journey, all with a support system around her. Now, becoming a travel therapist allows her the opportunity to explore trauma-informed modalities and approaches to help both men and women heal from physical, mental, and emotional pain.

As a holistic, trauma-informed specialist, Tiffany continues to help adult individuals reconnect with the parts of themselves they have dissociated due to their past experiences. She helps people integrate the mind, body, and spirit into their healing process through the practical application of meaningful habits and routines and mindfulness in purposeful, day-to-day activities.
